The Paces are about to embark on a new adventure. I've accepted a temporary assignment in Europe and the entire family is coming with me! I leave from Washington for Amsterdam in just 10 days. Sharon, Emma, and Eli will be joining me less than a week later after school lets out. I'll be working out of the Leiden office for 3 weeks and then from the Sheffield, UK office for 5 weeks (with a short trip back to the States for the American Libraries Association conference).
In June, we will be living in
Katwijk, just northwest of Leiden on the North Sea. Toward the end of June, we will head for the UK.
We have lots of fun things planned, and I have to keep reminding myself that I am there to work! I'm very excited to visit libraries and work more closely with my European colleagues.
The deal within the family is that we will all contribute to this blog on a regular basis. We will post pictures and tales of our travel for all our friends and family at home. We hope you look forward to our virtual postcards!
